A note on a new partnership, and why being found by AI now matters as much as being found by Google.
A quick announcement, and the thinking behind it. We’ve partnered with TruScaler, a team that specializes in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), to help the sites we build get found in AI search.
Why it matters
The way people look things up is shifting. More and more, they don’t type a query and scan a list of links. They ask a question, to ChatGPT, to Google’s AI overviews, to Perplexity, and get a single answer, often with a recommendation. If your business isn’t part of that answer, you’re invisible to that person, however good your website is.
That’s the uncomfortable part: a site can be beautifully built and rank well on Google and still be invisible to AI, because being quoted by an AI works differently from ranking on a results page. Most websites were built for Google’s rules. AI has its own.
Foundation, then visibility
The sites we build are already a strong foundation for this: clear, fast, well-structured, and written in plain language people and machines can both understand. That’s most of the way there.
